You could require they turn inthe eggs for dedicated prizes depending on the number they find, that way you could resue the same egss year to year, rather then filling them with anything and letting kids keep them. You could always just hide prizes and choclate eggs as i know some districts do, eliminating plastic eggs all together!

You could purchase bulk wooden eggs, paint them and have differant colors mean differant prizes, again reusing them each year.

Personally, I think it is wonderful to see you are trying to find alternatives, way to go!

The first year we offered sand voleyball leagues....6 years ago....I put the price really low.....we did not make a profit that year but I got 4 teams in the spring and 6 in the late summer and now I am up to 10 teams. I have been raising the price every year a few bucks and now our leagues are very popular and still priced lower than others.
Get the people in the door...experience your program...but you need to make it worth their while

I was once again impressed with this event -from the variety of events offered, the passion of those organizing the event, and the competitiveness of the athletes participating. I was excited to volunteer for the Senior Olympics this year and look forward to assisting next year as well. Thanks again for a job well done!!!

This is awesome that you can apply for scholarships right through the Recreation Section so that you can attend things that were not quite in your budget. Congratulations to the Recreation Section for making a commitment to the professional advancement and education of each member of the section.
